  1. Gentelmen, if you still have doubts about the tyres, then I would turn your attention to Metzeler Enduro 3 Sahara. That is the best on/offroad tyre I've tried on heavy offroad bikes and the one I now continuously use on my Super Tenere. That is the best if you don't want to swap tyres in Russia. Otherwise Metzeler Tourance for on road and Continental Twinduro for russian just-a-direction-style roads would be a good choice.
    If you have reliable partners in Russia then you could just leave on-road tyres there and pick up those on the way back.
